Two kinds of points
Loyalty is what lifts you through the ranks. It rises while you watch and it never falls, no matter how much you spend.
Wallet is what you actually spend on !bet !slot !duel and the market.
You earn both at the same time, just by being here. Neither one is Twitch Channel Points. Those purple ones are a separate thing, and they spin the Challenge Wheel.
Rank up and the whole channel hears about it. If you were away when it happened, the celebration waits until your next message.
